Triple-certified in EFT
Certified in EFCT, EFIT, and EFFT by ICEEFT — the full suite of Emotionally Focused Therapy certifications.
My story
I didn't come to therapy through a single straight path. I came through corporate boardrooms, church pulpits, trauma healing circles, and the quiet, sacred space of a counseling room. Each world shaped who I am as a clinician and as a human being.
I spent years in the corporate world — building the kind of analytical sharpness, emotional intelligence, and organizational fluency that most therapists never develop. That background means I understand the pressure you carry, the language you speak, and the way high-achieving people often intellectualize pain instead of feeling it.
As a former church minister and pastoral counselor, I learned to sit with people in their deepest grief, their most profound questions, and their most honest moments. That work taught me that healing is never just cognitive — it is spiritual, relational, and embodied.
Today, I bring all of it into the therapy room: the rigor of evidence-based training, the warmth of pastoral care, the sharpness of a corporate mind, and the attunement of someone who has spent decades learning how human beings connect, rupture, and repair.
My approach
Most therapists are trained in one or two modalities. I have spent years accumulating the deepest possible expertise across multiple evidence-based approaches — not to be impressive, but because every person who walks through my door deserves a therapist who can meet them exactly where they are.
At the core of my work is Emotionally Focused Therapy — the most research-validated approach to couples and family therapy in the world, with a 70–75% recovery rate for distressed couples. But EFT alone is never the whole story.
I integrate trauma-informed care, Gottman methods, Brainspotting, and existential frameworks to treat the whole person — not just the presenting problem. And I bring a rare multicultural fluency, having lived and worked across multiple cultures, that allows me to hold the complexity of identity, family systems, and relational dynamics with genuine sensitivity.

How I work
Most therapy treats symptoms. I look for the underlying emotional patterns — the negative cycles, the attachment wounds, the unspoken fears — that keep people stuck. Then I help you change them, together.
Every couple has a cycle — a predictable pattern of conflict that repeats no matter what the topic is. I help you see it, name it, and step out of it together.
Real change happens when we access emotion, not just talk about it. I create the safety for you to go deeper than you've gone before — with your partner or on your own.
Trauma lives in the body and shapes how we attach. As a certified trauma professional, I never push faster than your nervous system can go.
Identity, family of origin, cultural expectations, and faith all shape how we relate. I hold all of that with genuine curiosity and respect — never a one-size-fits-all lens.
